Nicholas Boglivi Obituary
Nicholas E. Boglivi, aged 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9, 2025. Born in Passaic, NJ, he grew up in Lyndhurst, attended Lyndhurst High School where he was valedictorian and went on to Stevens Institute of Technology, where he earned his BS in Chemical Engineering before starting his career at Suburban Propane.
Although he hated engineering, he found his wife, Joyce, while working at Suburban and they married in 1963 and moved to Clifton, where Joyce currently resides.
Determined to explore new paths, Nick pursued a MBA at night at Fairleigh Dickinson University and after graduation, joined Citibank in New York City where he spent about 20 years in their investment banking group pursuing mergers and acquisitions. After leaving Citi, he joined his client, Argo International also in NYC, where he completed his career.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Joyce (nee Laltrella) and his devoted daughters, Lauren Boglivi and her husband Mark Gottlieb and Liza Fox and her husband Lenny. Nick leaves behind cherished memories with his grandchildren Ella and William Gottlieb and Taylor Fox. He is also survived by his niece, nephew, and their families.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., located at 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Monday, May 19, 2025, from 5 PM to 8 PM. A funeral mass will be offered at St. Clare's RC Church, 69 Allwood Road, Clifton on Tuesday, May 20 at 10:30 AM. Kindly meet directly at church at 10:15 AM. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington.
