Nicholas "Nick" Christopher Brison, age 31, of Branson, Missouri, formerly of O'Fallon Illinois, passed away suddenly on June 28, 2025. He entered this life on December 27, 1993, in Fairfield, California, the son of James Brison and Christine (Smart) Winkler.
Nick attended O'Fallon Township High School, where he proudly played for their hockey team. He attended University of Illinois in Chicago. As he loved to work with his hands, he later established the Brison Built Company.
Nick had a deep appreciation for music and art. He aspired to go into the music industry and would spend countless hours on his equipment mixing beats. Being fluent in Spanish, many of Nick's recording were recorded in his second language of love. His hand drawn art was inspiring. Nick enjoyed hiking and the great outdoors. As a child, he loved rocks, always picking them up along his path. A game of poker was always offered up by Nick, and players typically donated to his game. His love of hockey, and his St. Louis Blues always made its way into any conversation. Nick never met a stranger, and every interaction with him was genuine. He was committed to everything he did, and his tenacity to never give up was incredible. Nick will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather: Christine and James Winkler; father and stepmother: James Brison and Kathryn Williams-Brison; six brothers: Zachary Winkler, Jackson Winkler, James Brison, Josh Brison, Alex Williams, and Chris Williams; sister, Makenna Winkler; and cousins, aunts, uncles and grandfather.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Grace Church, 5151 N. Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gateway Pets (https://gatewaypets.org/donate/), to help support as Nick was a lover of animals. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Nick grew up with my kids and lived in our neighborhood. He was always so polite and friendly. We ran into him a couple years ago at TGIFridays and caught up. I was so sad to hear that he passed. My thoughts are with his family and close friends.

I met Nick when I started at OTHS and he was a friend of one of my best friends as well. We spent a lot of summer swimming at the neighborhood pool.

What is crazy is Nick and I were talking even before I started at Ofallon. He was on MyYearbook.com and reached out to me because my name was <3PapaRoachGirl<3 and he liked them just as much as I did. Until we were in the same home room, we had no idea who each other was. Then one day he was talking about the band and I turned around (obviously) and we struck up a conversation and realized we were talking on My yearbook the whole time. After highschool we lost touched, but I will always have those memories. He will be greatly missed.

I knew Nick in another life. We were neighborhood friends who bonded on the bus together school. I have memories of us waiting at the bus stop together, laughing at jokes and making fun of each other. Nick was always a nice guy and a good friend. We lost touch after high school, but I have many fond memories of him. We often got together in the summer to go night swimming and it was the best time. I was very sorry to hear of his passing. He will definitely be missed. Rest in peace Nick.
