Nicholas John Causley "Nick"

Bay City, Michigan

Our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Bay Valley House, he was 95.

Nick was born November 29, 1930, in Bay City, to the late Harold and Elsie Causley. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Alaska from 1948 until his honorable discharge in 1952.

On December 17, 1955, he married the love of his life, Betty M. Drouillard. They shared many devoted years together until her passing on June 14, 2017.

Nick was employed with General Motors Gray Iron Foundry in Saginaw for over 29 years, retiring on June 1, 2005. He took great pride in his work and the friendships he built throughout his career.

In his younger years, Nick enjoyed hunting, especially alongside his son, Rick. He also loved spending time working in his pole barn and being social with friends and family. Time spent with those he loved most meant everything to him.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Katherine "Kathy" (Joseph) Ploechl; grandchildren: Amanda (Robert) Woerner; Joseph Ploechl II; Devon Causley; Nick Causley; and Rick (Nicole) Causley. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Alexis (Garrett) Charbonneau; Olivia Blakely; and Colton Causley; and one great-great-grandson, Beckham Charbonneau.

Nick was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Elsie; his beloved wife, Betty; and his cherished son, Rick Causley.

Per Nick's wish, cremation will take place. No services or visitation will be held. Private interment will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Final arrangements were entrusted to Squires Funeral Home, 211 N. Henry Street, Bay City, MI 48706.
