Nicholas James "Nick" Draughon

Nicholas (Nick) James Draughon, 31, passed away unexpectedly August 17, 2025. He was born April 10, 1994, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Donald Christopher and Angela "Angie" May Christensen Draughon. Shortly after he was born, they moved to his father's hometown of Tallahassee and then to Wakulla County Florida where he grew up. Nick attended Wakulla High School then later Lively Technical College where he graduated from their Advanced Welding Technology Program. A successful welder by trade he traveled all over the United States working on different projects. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents James and Lavonne Oberg Christensen and his paternal grandmother Janis Lee Adkins Draughon. He is survived by his parents and brother Jayson, grandfather Donald Max Draughon (Vicki), aunts Nicole Sellars Berardi and Jessica Draughon Patronis, one nephew, several nieces, and his longtime companion and love of his life Crystal Pritchard. Nicholas had many interests throughout the years... fishing, skateboarding, BMX, dirt bikes, 4 wheelers, motorcycles and car restoration. He was a natural motor head. He also had a huge caring, loving heart. He stepped up to help care for both of his grandma's when they were in end stage of life. Nick loved his little brother Jayson more than anything, always there for him with encouragement and advice. He had so many beautiful qualities and so much good in him! Nick will be dearly missed and always loved by his family and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 1:00-2:00 pm at Family Funeral Home/Harvey Young Chapel and the Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Arran Annex Cemetery. Skip & Trey Young along with Paula, Amanda and Andy are assisting the family.
