Nicholas Galas Obituary
May 22, 1972 – August 28, 2025
Nicholas Russell Galas, age 53, of Royal Oak, Michigan, passed away on August 28, 2025. Known for his unwavering positivity and generous heart, Nick faced life's challenges with a smile and a spirit that lifted everyone around him.
A true animal lover, Nick found joy and companionship in his beloved dogs, Zeus and Niko, who were never far from his side. His passion for cars was matched only by his love for spending time with friends and neighbors-whether sharing stories in the driveway or lending a helping hand, Nick was the kind of person who made a community feel like family.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted mother, Carol Galas and his father, Stratos Galas. He leaves behind his cherished sisters, Maria Moubadder (Richard) and Migdalia Rodriguez and his beloved brothers, George Galas and Michael Galas. As a proud uncle, he held a special place in his heart for Leah Moubadder (Steve), Alyssa Galas, and Brandon Moubadder, and found great joy in being a grand uncle to Sania Moubadder-Davis.
He was part of a large and loving extended family, including aunts and uncles Diana Hrab (Paul), Christopher Rowan (Deborah), James Nageldinger, Elias Galas (Marijan), Omiros Galas (Praxia), and John Galas (Mary). Nick is also fondly remembered by cousins Andrea Clark (Erik) and their children Kalina and Luke, Alison Hrab, and Katie Laird (Brian) and their children Will and Jessa, along with extended family in Greece.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 1990 Torquay Avenue, Royal Oak, MI 48073. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor Nick's life in the spirit he lived it-with kindness, connection, and joy.
