Nicholas "Nico" Manuel Haro 02/09/1962 - 05/26/2024
Nicholas, known to his friends and family members as Nico. Born and raised in Castroville, California. Growing up in his hometown, his parents Evelyn and Nick owned a storefront where Nico worked for many years, Nick's Hi-Way Market. A Palma High School 1980 Alumni has always been the embodiment of adventure and the great outdoors. From his earliest days, whether it was the rock of a boat at Coyote Lake, the thrilling speed of water skiing at the Delta, or the patient art of fishing. Nico also spent many times at Lake Tahoe snow skiing, again always looking for new adventure. His love for motorcycles and his generosity knew no bounds, extending his passion to his great nephews through the gift of dirt bikes. They, too, would find the curiosity of adventure in their own backyard of Prunedale, California. But it wasn't just the adrenaline-fueled activities that defined him; Nico was also very mellow and easy-going where he kindly enjoyed his barbecues sessions with his family. As we remember Nico, we don't just recall the activities he loved, but the lessons he taught without words. His legacy is not just in the hobbies he pursued, but in the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the memories he created-gifts that will continue to inspire and guide us as we navigate our own journeys.
Nico was preceded in death by his Father Nick Haro and Sister Roxanne Haro.
Survivors of Nico are Mother, Evelyn Haro, Niece Jakklyn Jefferson (Jason Jefferson) and Great Nephews Jace and Jacob Jefferson.
