Nicholas Damon Kittelson

Nicholas Damon Kittelson, 44, of International Falls, Minnesota, passed away on March 6, 2026.

Nick was born to Brian and Debbie Kittelson and grew up in International Falls, where he built a life surrounded by the people and places he loved most. He worked for the City of International Falls, contributing to the community he called home.

A true outdoorsman at heart, Nick lived for hunting and fishing-whether it was chasing deer in the woods or casting lines on Rainy Lake's endless bays, islands, and reefs. He approached life with a big laugh and an even bigger heart, always ready with a joke or a quick-witted comment that could lighten any room. His sense of humor was legendary, and his love for his family was unwavering.

Nick was preceded in death by his wife, Ashley; close nephew, Julian Brian Kittelson, who passed in 2022-a loss that weighed heavily on him; cousin, Derek "Whitey" White; paternal grandparents, Howard and Delores Kittelson; and maternal grandparents, Damon White, Jeanette White and Collins Clinton.

He is survived by his loving parents, Brian and Debbie Kittelson; his three children, daughters Tori and Lily "Lar", and son Derek; stepchildren, Lily and JJ. his three brothers, Adam, Andy, and Ryan (Britny); numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Nick cherished every moment with his kids and extended family, and his legacy lives on in the love, laughter, and memories he shared. He loved life fully and will be remembered for the joy he brought to those around him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced by the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a charity supporting mental health or outdoor youth programs in Nick's honor.
