Nicholas Marchione Obituary

Nicholas Ross "Nick" Marchione passed away April 7, 2025, in a motorcycle accident, just over a week before his 22nd birthday. A viewing will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 14, at Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home in DeLand. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in DeBary. He will then be laid to rest at Oakdale Cemetery in DeLand.
Born April 15, 2003, in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Nick had recently earned his bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology from AdventHealth University, and was looking forward to walking across the stage to receive his diploma April 21.
Nick is a 2021 graduate of University High School in Orange City. He played the trombone in the school's jazz ensemble, the marching band and the symphonic band. After high-school, he would play with the Intersection Big Band and the Orange City Community Orchestra.
Nick lived life with unparalleled intensity and joy, embracing each moment as his truest self. His love for his friends and family knew no bounds, and he was always eager to spend time with those closest to him. His devotion to his loved ones was unwavering, and his kindness and keen sense of humor touched everyone he encountered.
Nick is survived by his parents, Lauren and Peter Marchione; his brother, Alexander; his sister-in-law, Ashlee; his grandparents, Peter and Irene Marchione; as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Norman and Donna Gosney, and his paternal grandmother, Bonnie Garrity.
Nick is remembered with immense love by all who have crossed his path, and his spirit will be cherished for eternity. May the memory of Nicholas Ross Marchione bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to live in his presence.

Nick was always a bright spot at Topgolf. No matter what, even on your worst days, Nick never failed to put a smile on everyone's face. Nick was undoubtedly the funniest and smartest person I knew. He will never be forgotten.

I wish I spent more time together with you and reached out more after high school Nick. You always managed to make every situation funny with your humor and laugh. That last trip we had to the Keys is still something I talk about to this day. And the antics we´d get up to with the rest of the guys always cracked me up. Rest easy man, love you.
