Nicholas Moldovan Obituary
Nicholas J. Moldovan, of Canton, Ohio, passed away at his home on March 16, 2024. He was 76. He was born to the late John and Victoria (Popa) Moldovan on December 30, 1947, in Canton, Ohio. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Richard Murray.
A graduate of McKinley High School, he was a longtime Notre Dame fan, enjoyed fishing at Mohawk with his cousin, Joe, and was a member of John's Bar Golf League for 32 years. First and foremost, in Nick's life was his family and his devotion to each of them. He was a very special grandpa, who was loved beyond words and his legacy will live on in the lives of each of his grandchildren.
Nick's memory will be cherished always and leave an indelible mark on the hearts of those who survive; his wife of 22 years, Sandy Moldovan; sons, Larry and Steve Murray; grandchildren, Taylor, Alex, Hannah, Lizzy, Carter, Sawyer, and Preston; sisters, Norma Stoker, Vicky (John) Dan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 9:00 to 9:30 AM, Lamiell Funeral Home, 1353 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Canton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Peter Catholic Church, 726 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Canton at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Rev. Dr. David M. Mishbrener presiding. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Canton.
The family would like to extend a warm and heartfelt thank you to Hospice for the care Nick received and for the support shared with the family.
