Nicholas Montella

Nicholas Montella, 86, of Bethany Beach, Delaware, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025. Born in Staten Island, New York, Nicholas was the beloved husband of the late Joan L. Montella and the son of the late Carmine and Madeline Montella. Nicholas enjoyed a long and dedicated career with the Local 169 Teamsters before retiring to Bethany Beach, where he took great pride in becoming an active and engaged member of the community. An avid golfer throughout his life, Nicholas found his greatest joy in spending time with family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan L. Montella; his parents, Madeline and Carmine Montella; and his siblings: August, Louis, Charles, Joseph, Salvatore, Anthony, Angie, and Rosemary. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Monday, August 18, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes, Clarksville Chapel, located at 34874 Atlantic Avenue, Ocean View, DE 19970. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, DE 19930. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at 12:30 PM. Nicholas will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for the kindness he shared, the lives he touched, and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.
