Nicholas M. Muro

Nicholas M. Muro, age 85 of Monroeville died July 18, 2025, at Forbes Regional Hospital. He was born September 5, 1939, in Wilmerding, a son of the late Peter and Angela Muro. Nick was a graduate of Wilmerding High School. He later attained this master's degree in science and Math from Pitt University. Prior to his retirement, he employed as a high school math and geometry teacher for East Allegheny High School. He was also the public relations director and Football Coach. Following retirement, Nick continued working various jobs. He ran titles for Cochran Pontiac Car Dealership, was a chaperone for Preferred Casio Tours and was a limousine driver. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Danielle McCann. He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Nancy Macchione Muro, stepson Nicko Wilson (Emily), step son-in-law, Eric McCann, two brothers, Peter Muro (Michelle) Robert Muro (Claudia). Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon on Wednesday from 2-8 P.M. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 A.M in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Irwin Union Cemetery.
