Obituary of Nicholas J. Reeder

Nicholas "Daniel" Reeder passed away on September 6, 2025 at the age of 42. He was the beloved son of John and Trina Reeder, and is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Daniel loved his family and enjoyed many happy times celebrating with them. He had many friends that he kept in touch with, and being a member of The Rochester Gay Men's Chorus was very special to him. He had an amazing and strong tenor voice. He will be missed by many.

Daniel attended The American University in Washington, DC where he earned a degree in Economics in 2004. He then attended Dickenson School of Law, and graduated in 2008. He was currently employed by the Monroe County District Attorney's Office as a Assistant DA.

Calling hours will be on Friday, October 10 th from 4:00 – 7:00 at Paul Harris Funeral Home, 570 Kings Hwy, Rochester, NY 14617.

His funeral mass will be at 10:00 am. Saturday, October 11 th at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 101 E Williams St, Waterloo, NY 13165. He will be buried In Pittsford Cemetery, 38 Washington Rd, Pittsford, NY 14534, immediately following his mass.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations, in his memory, be made to The Rochester Gay Men's Chorus at 121 N. Fitzhugh St., Suite 332, Rochester, NY 14614, or on their website.

After his burial, we invite you to Celebrate Daniel's Life with us, from 1:00 – 5:00, at Pane Vino on the Avenue, at 3400 Monroe Ave, Rochester, NY 14618.
