Nicholas Sopel Obituary
Age 81, of Alma, passed away Monday, July 28, 2025, at Maple View Retirement Community.
Nick was born March 10, 1944, in Alma, the son of Nicholas and Opal (Crispin) Sopel Sr. He graduated from Alma High School. Nick worked for Larry's IGA as the produce manager before retiring. He served his country in the US Army from 1965 to 1967 and was a proud American that loved his country. Nick enjoyed hunting, fishing and a cold one in the summer.
Nick is survived by his sisters Dorothy Maraskine, Arline Fachting, and many nieces and nephews, who enjoyed his stories and sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Larry Sopel.
Per Nick's wishes a cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rich and Helen Hospice Suite at Maple View Retirement Community.
