Nick Valadez Obituary
Nick practiced municipal law for 35 years, serving as Village Attorney for the Village of Midlothian for 8½ years and for the Village of Posen for 10 years. He served as a Municipal Hearing Officer for the City of Park Ridge and served as an Arbitrator for the Cook County Circuit Court.
In addition to his legal career, he was deeply committed to public service and healthcare access. He served on the Board of South Shore Hospital for 12½ years. For the past 33 years, he proudly served on the Board of the Chicago Family Health Center where he was devoted to promoting access to healthcare regardless of status or ability to pay.
He was an avid golfer who was a member of the LBH Golf Club.

Visitation Monday at the Hickey Memorial Chapel 4201 W. 147th St. Midlothian, IL. 3;00 PM until time of Funeral Service at 7:00 PM. Private interment will be at St. Benedict Cemetery.

I worked with Nick in the Student Association as an undergrad at NIU. Nick was a such a great teacher of social justice and showed us all how one can effect positive and meaningful change at a local level. We all benefited from his eloquent and well-articulated delivery on issues which effected the those who did not have a voice.
My condolensces to the Valadez family at this difficult time.

My sincere condolences to the entire Valadez family. Nick was a good, decent man with a huge heart and a great smile.
I grew up just a few houses down from Nick and his family in Posen and hadn't seen him in years ... until around 2018 or so, when we crossed paths while out with mutual friends. We chatted a bit and caught up with life after Posen. Nick was truly, one of the good guys, and I'm glad we had that time to reminisce.
My thoughts and prayers are with Nick's family and friends during this difficult time.
May Nick Rest in Paradise, forever in the Arms of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

You were a good egg too. You will be missed. Thank you for everything, and for being such a good human being with a good heart. I´m glad your son will carry on your legacy. We need more good people like you in this world.
