Nicky Baca age 19, a resident of Cerro, passed away unexpectedly March 4, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his uncle Johnny Gomez and uncle Ruben Salazar.
Nicky was a student at Questa High School, he had a big heart, was always willing to help people in their time of need. Nicky loved spending time in the mountains, camping and hanging out with all his friends (brothers).
He is survived by his father Nicholas Baca (Kristie) and mother Jennifer Nance (Miguel); siblings Jordan Ritchlin-Cruz, Johnny Baca, Israel Apodaca, Rubi Apodaca and Miguel Apodaca; paternal grandparents Armando & Rose Ortega and Perfecto (Jimmy) and Elaine Baca; maternal grandmothers Rachel Bailon and Sharon Borges (Chris); aunts and uncles Isaac Gomez, Suzie Chavez (Cruz), Lee Archuleta, Dean Archuleta (Diane), Natalie Archuleta (John), Nichole Smith (Kevin) and Leticia Salazar; special cousins Juan Gomez, Julian Gomez and Esteban Gomez; plus many other loving cousins, relatives and friends.
Nicky’s selfless act of organ donation continues to help others, and he will forever be a hero to his family.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Juan Gomez, Julian Gomez, Esteban Gomez, Marco Gonzales, Juan Gonzales, and Tate Danis. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathaniel Rael, Diego Lovato, Ezequiel Zeke Lopez and Eddie Salazar.
Funeral service will be held on Monday March 17, 2025 at 11am at Living Word Ministries in Questa with burial to follow at the Cerro Cemetery.
