Nicol Held Obituary
Nicol was born and raised in Buffalo, NY where she attended Kenmore West High School and graduated college at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 20+ years, most recently at Novartis Oncology as an Associate Director, Access and Reimbursement always putting people and patients first. Nicol was a beautiful and genuine soul who exemplified her favorite words "be kind." Friends may call at the McGORRAY-HANNA FUNERAL HOME OF WESTLAKE, 25620 Center Ridge Rd. (West of Columbia Rd.) WEDNESDAY, JULY 24th from 5- 7 PM. Funeral Services will be at Bay Presbyterian Church, 25415 Lake Rd. (at Columbia Rd.) Bay Village, Ohio, Thursday, July 25th at 11 AM. A reception will follow the Funeral Service at Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nicol's honor may be made to Safe Harbor Norton, 4480 Greenwich Rd., Norton, OH 44203.

I met Nicol about 10 years ago at one of my neighbor, Amy Johnson´s, gatherings. She was visiting her, like she often did. They were closer than most friends, more like sisters. I remember thinking `that kind of friendship is so beautiful & so rare´ ...they were lucky to be each-other´s gifts in that way. I got to see her and chat with her many times throughout the years and the word that comes to mind when I think of her is "kind."
I have social anxiety and it´s hard enough to show up places, once I do I want to leave, but when Nicol was around I was at ease. We always had easy conversations. She was genuinely kind, welcoming and caring. She will be missed. I can´t imagine what her family is going through. I know that Amy´s heart is broken. My prayers and condolences to her family and close friends. May she rest in peace.

I am so sorry for the loss that your family is experiencing. I was an ASA sorority sister of Nicol´s at Edinboro University. She really was a beautiful person and I will always remember her kind disposition. I have not seen or talked to Nicol since those crazy college days but remember her as the beautiful woman in the picture posted. Please know that my heart goes out to all mourning this tragic loss. I hope you are able to remember her love and celebrate her beautiful life
