Nicolas Delgado Jr

Nicolas Delgado Jr., 62, of Mission, Texas, passed away peacefully after prayer on January 27, 2026, at DHR Hospital. He was born on November 15, 1963, in Oxnard, California, to Nicolas Delgado Sr. and Josepha Salazar.

He is survived by his two sons, Nicolas Delgado III and John J. D. Delgado, both of Mission, Texas; and his daughter, Desiree M. Delgado, also of Mission, Texas. He is also survived by his brothers Martin Delgado (Jacklyn) of Mission, Texas; Mario Delgado of California; and Julian Delgado; and his sisters Sandra Delgado of California, Cristina Delgado of McAllen, Texas, and Alicia Delgado of Mission, Texas. He leaves behind four beloved grandchildren: Nikkole Chanelle Delgado, Natalie Chance Delgado, Dominic Garza Delgado, and Daisy Rae Ramirez.

Nicolas was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Ignacio Delgado and Salvador Delgado.

He bravely battled cancer for eight years. Despite his illness, Nicolas never lost his sense of humor, which was deeply cherished by those who knew him. He treasured time spent with family and friends, enjoyed dining at his favorite mariscos spot, and loved jamming out to oldies with his loved ones.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Ric Brown Funeral Home, located at 701 Expressway 83, Mission, Texas. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
