Nicole Daake Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Goes Funeral Care & Crematory - Fort Collins on May 14, 2025.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Nicole Marie Daake, 35, of Fort Collins, on April 27, 2025. Nicole was born at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE to the loving parents of Jenni Amanda Struck and Steven Eugene Daake. She lives on through her son, Weston Currin; parents Jenni Struck and Steve Daake, sisters Natashia Harvey, Kristen Ludwig, and Megan Struck; brothers-in-law Jonathan Harvey and Dan Ludwig; aunts Valerie Struck, Michelle Hackett, and Cindy Harpham; uncles Jeff Struck, Tony Struck, Jeremy Daake, and Michael Daake; cousins Alicia Marie Struck, Alexandra Struck, Melissa Struck, Jacob Struck, Jared Struck, Anthony Struck, Nathan Struck, and James Struck; nieces and nephews Savannah Carpenter, Ryker Ludwig, Jaylynn Harvey, Alexis Harvey, and James Harvey; as well as her loving grandparents Ron Daake and Linda Knepp.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather James Albert Struck, maternal grandmother Mary Alice Strohman, and stepmother Karyn J. Daake.
Nicole was a very special person to many of us. Nicole had a way of brightening everyone's spirits just by entering a room with her vibrant energy. She was a very gentle soul that had love for everything around her. Nicole had many hobbies and interests including antiques, coin collecting, crafting jewelry pieces, and she loved her crystals. She also had a love for music and soaking up the sun. Nicole was a holistic believer, so very down to earth, compassionate listener, and loved making people laugh with her charming sense of humor. She always loved a good, harmless practical joke.
Nicole's high interest for mechanics led her into a career working for Woodward. She was part of a fantastic team building innovative energy control solutions for aerospace and industrial use applications.
Nicole has touched so many lives in her lifetime with unconditional love for others. She will be forever missed by all her friends and family, but she will live on through the circle of life and our hearts.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in the beautiful forests of Livermore. For address details, please contact Nicole's Uncle Jeff at [email protected]
Donations to the Struck family can be received at 3162 Lower Loop Drive, Fort Collins, CO 80524.

I knew Nicole for around a year or so. I worked with her at Woodward on 2nd shift in the same cell for 10 hours a day...well, maybe not 10 subracting the time she was off getting her 10000 steps in and visiting with friends at work. So more like 8-9 hours a day. haha
One funny story I remember happened before we worked in the same cell together. I still laugh about when I think about it.
At work there is a very long hall that leads to shipping and the mens/womens restrooms. I had just left the mens room and was walking down the hall and heard this loud chirp sound. I turned around...nothing. I go back to walking and hear a loud squeak sound. I was like, what the hell is that sound? Again, when I turn around I see nothing. I continue walking and heard "Hey!". Turn around...Again nothing. Continuing walking and hear "Hey" yet again. I turn around quickly and catch Nicole peeking out from behind some shelving. We both start laughing.
Nicole on her good days and good moods was very funny, friendly, and talkative. She brought a lot of fun to work, usually wore a cool rock band t-shirt, and most days would say "hi", stop by to chat a bit, and say "bye" at the end of the day if she had been working in a different cell. If she had snacks or candy she'd usually offer me some. I got to know her while working with her and liked her very much. She was a cool friend and I will miss her.
