Obituary published on Legacy.com by Trout Funeral Home of Perry on Nov. 4, 2025.
On November 24, 1981, the world was blessed with the early arrival of Nicole Marie Noteware, whose gentle spirit and generous heart would leave a lasting mark on everyone she met. Nicole departed this life on October 30, 2025, after suffering an aneurysm. Though her time on earth was far too short, her kindness, faith, and compassion will live on through the many lives she touched.
Nicole's love for community and agriculture began early. Following in her sister's footsteps, she joined 4-H at the age of nine, where she showed sheep, pigs, and a heifer. Her passion for learning, friendship, and responsibility deepened through Perry FFA, where she served as a delegate to the National FFA Convention and later received her American FFA Degree after high school. Through these experiences, Nicole built lifelong friendships and treasured memories that shaped her generous and hardworking spirit.
After graduating high school, Nicole pursued her education at Northern Oklahoma College, earning an Associate of Science degree in Agriculture in 2004. Never one to stop growing, she later earned a second degree-an Associate of Arts in Child Development-also from NOC. Nicole shared her nurturing heart and patience with countless children during her more than ten years of service at Christ Lutheran Daycare, where she brought comfort, laughter, and learning to every child in her care.
Outside of work, Nicole found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved attending Oklahoma State University basketball and baseball games with her mom and exploring car shows alongside her boyfriend, David. At home, she poured that same warmth into caring for her beloved rescue cats and dogs, giving each one a safe and loving home. Her compassion for animals reflected the same kindness she showed to people-steady, gentle, and full of heart.
A faithful member of First Christian Church, Nicole served her church family wholeheartedly-as a deacon, a member of the education committee, and a devoted helper in Sunday school and youth programs. Her quiet dedication and steady faith inspired all who served alongside her.
Nicole truly had a giver's heart. Even in her passing, she continued to bless others through her decision to be an organ donor, offering the gift of life and hope to those in need.
Nicole is survived by her loving mother, Diana Noteware of Perry; her sister, Beth Noteware of San Antonio, Texas; her special friend, David Blocker of Perry; her aunt, Glenda Noteware of Perkins; her uncle and aunt, Lorn and Gloria Dayton of Granbury, Texas; and cousins Alicia Miller, Glenna and Tom Moak, Mike and Susan Noteware, Justin McMurtrie and Darian Bailey.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Noteware; her maternal grandparents, Claude and Floris Dayton; her paternal grandparents, Glen and Marie Noteware; her aunt and uncle, Claudine and Gene VanBebber; and her cousin, Renee McMurtrie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Life Share, the Oklahoma organ donation organization, First Christian Church of Perry to help send youth to church camp, or simply donate to your local pet shelter.
Nicole's light continues to shine in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she is gone from our sight, her kindness, faith, and giving spirit will forever be remembered.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 10am at the First Christian Church in Perry with the Rev. Dr. Joshua Bell officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home of Perry, 1408 N. 7th St.,
