Nicolle was born in Louisville to Elaine Codey-Smith and the late Larry Howard, II and graduated from Central Hardin High School in 2000. She received her degree from Indiana Weslyn University and worked at Humana as a corporate strategic trainer.
She is preceded by her father; adoptive father, Anthony Thompson; grandmother, Patricia Codey; and best friend, Lisa Rucker.
Carrying on Nicolle's legacy are her mother; daughter, Gabriella Staples and her father, Matthew Staples; brother, Adam Thompson (Renee); grandfather, Melvin Codey; aunt, Pamela Ayers-Shofner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Nicolle will be from 2-8 PM on Thursday, July 20, 2023, and from 9-11 AM on Friday, July 21 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. Funeral will be at 11 AM on Friday at the funeral home.
