Niki Stavrou

Niki Stavrou passed away on March 10, 2017 at the age of 76. She was born on July 2, 1940 in Andravida Greece. She leaves behind her loving daughter Georgia (Stathies) Aronis. Proud Yiayia of Jason (Elise), Evan, Niki, Sam, and Mihali. She adored her great-grandchildren Hannabella, Michael, and Hunter. She is survived by her siblings Eva Theodorou (Lefteri), Panagiota Economopoulos (Leonidas), and Niko Gregoropoulos (Athina). Niki will be missed by her numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Sam Memos, husband Costa Stavrou, her daughter Tina Correll; sister Christina Varvaresos and brother-in-law, Andrew Varvaresos. She was a compassionate, caring, loving person. She was a selfless person that would always put others needs before her own. She loved making cookies and her family loved her spinach pies. Her daughter Georgia stated "No more pain my sweet mommy. You are with Tina now." Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. A trisagion will be recited at 5:00 pm. She will lie instate on Monday from 9:30 am until her funeral at 10:00 am at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 21800 Marter Rd., St Clair Shores. Father Michael Varlamos will officiate. Interment at Cadillac Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
