Nikia S. Williams

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nikia S. Williams of Bloomfield, Connecticut, who departed this life on November 25, 2025. Nikkia was born on October 3, 1981, to Cynthia and Gregory Maddox. She was a cherished family member and friend, leaving behind a light that will never fade and a loving spirit that will remain unparalleled.
She leaves to mourn: husband, Donald Williams; fur baby, Akai; mother, Cynthia Maddox; grandfather, John "Poppy" Powell; in-laws: Gloria Kemp, Sylvern Williams, Sr., and Wynsom Williams. Siblings: Cheryl Gillespie, William "Bruce" Maddox, Gregory Maddox. Jr., Michael Maddox, Sr., and Corey Maddox, as well as a host of other family members and friends. Nikia was predeceased by grandparents: Crayton & Mattie Barnes, Dorris "Nanna" Powell; father, Gregory Richard Maddox, Sr.; brother-in-law, Sylvern Williams, Jr., and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Nikia was vibrant and beautiful, with her own sense of style. She had a smile that would brighten the room. She was a graduate of Hartford High School. She worked hard for many years in her managerial position. Nikia was a loving daughter, devoted wife, and phenomenal sister. With her loving and caring spirit, she was naturally loved, adored, and appreciated by many of her family and friends. Niki was very family-oriented and a very dedicated dog mom to her two fur babies, Nyoki and Akai. She has been a role model to many of her nieces and nephews. Niki loved dancing, listening to music, and traveling around the world. She had a huge infatuation with the color pink, which is a delicate hue that represents sweetness, femininity, and is often associated with love, all the characteristics she embodied.
She enjoyed visiting new and unique dining establishments and creating her own dishes. Nikia loved fashion and expressed her passion through her own ensembles. As the baby girl amongst her five siblings, she was the glue. She had her own personal relationship with them all. She left traces of beauty in every life she touched. Nikia, Nikki, Nik, daughter, wife, sister, or friend, however you addressed her, she will forever be loved and remembered by her family and friends.
