Obituary of Nikki Storey-Amelio
With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Nikki Storey- Amelio at the young age of 26. Nikki was proud to be a born and raised Burqueña and would have been graduating in June 2024 with her Veterinary Technician License. She will be mentioned as an honorary graduate with her cohort. She had been working as a Vet Assistant for the past 8 years. She was one of the lucky few who was passionate about her work and got to do what she loved every day. Animals were her life. Her chihuahuas, Chihuahua, Sweetsie, and Gustavo kept her tank filled with joy and love.
Nikki was a gentle, warm, safe, beautiful soul who turned heads in every room she entered. She had crystal blue eyes that held everyone in awe of her beauty. Her giggle was contagious and she had a sense of humor that brought happiness to everyone she knew.
She was greeted in heaven by her loving grandparents, Gilbert and Margaret Storey, Her big brother, Captain Brandon Barrett, and her God daughter, Natalie Grace. She will be lovingly remembered by her Mother Johneye Storey, Step Father Frank Sanchez. Nina Mary, Uncles Gilbert and James. Aunts Barbara and Dana. Her life partner Tai Robinson. Her sisters Gayle, Jazmine (by birth) Rylee and Kaylyn (by life). Brother in law Isaac. Nephew, Isaac, Nieces Avah, Alena and Addilynn, Cousin Freddie, her beloved animals, so many close family members and friends and her father Greg Amelio.
She is deeply missed and will forever be celebrated.
A celebration of life will be held at Riverside Funeral home on Friday September 22, 2023 from 5-7 PM. A separate burial will be held at Mt. Calvary cemetery at a later date, and will be announced when details are finalized. We invite everyone from all seasons of Nikki's life to join us.
