Nikolai Goncharoff Obituary
Nikolai "Nik" Goncharoff, age 100, of Hoffman Estates, passed away peacefully. Beloved husband of Nadiya, and the late Natalia. Cherished father of Vladimir (Marta) and Paul (Olya). Loving grandfather of Tatiana (Sher) Singh and Svetlana (Serhat) Incel. Great-grandfather of Demyan Incel. Dear uncle and godfather, to many.
Born in Ukraine as one of eleven siblings, Nik built a remarkable life in America. He enjoyed a long career as electrical engineer at Motorola, where he also served as captain of the Motorola Chess Club.
Nik will be remembered for his kind spirit and unwavering desire to bring joy to those around him.
Visitation Sunday, November 2, 2:00 p.m. until time of Panachyda, 5:00 p.m. at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake Street, Addison.
Funeral Service Monday, November 3, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. Andrew Ukrainian Cemetery, Bloomingdale, IL.
