Noah Goodner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Veterans Funeral Care on Nov. 21, 2025.
Noah Britton Goodner, 86, of Largo, FL, passed away on November 9, 2025, at the Springs of Boca Ciega Bay in South Pasadena, FL, following an extended illness. He was born on February 10, 1939, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Timothy and Charlotte Goodner.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Noah served his country with honor before returning to civilian life, where he built a long and successful career as a flooring contractor and business owner. Known for his strong work ethic and steady hands, he took great pride in his craftsmanship and in the many homes and businesses he helped improve over the years. Noah was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished time spent with his growing family. He had a gentle sense of humor, a love for simple pleasures, and a deep appreciation for the people around him. Whether swapping stories, lending a hand, or offering quiet encouragement, he touched the lives of many with kindness and humility. He had a lifelong passion for motorsports and was an avid fan of the NHRA, especially the Gatornationals, which he looked forward to each year. The roar of the engines and the thrill of the races brought him great joy and excitement. Above all, Noah considered his greatest achievement to be his children-Cindee, Buck, and Ryan-whom he raised with love, patience, and unwavering support. He took immense pride in the people they became and the families they built.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nelva Lorraine Goodner; his three children, Cindee (James), Buck (Diana), and Ryan (Kate); twelve grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Timothy Goodner, Charles Goodner and Margaret Stanley; and a grandson, Austin Goodner.
Noah's legacy lives on in the family he loved, the values he instilled, and the countless memories shared by those fortunate enough to know him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice or your favorite charity in Noah's name. A committal service will be held with military honors on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 9:00 AM at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd. St. Petersburg, FL 33708.
