On September 29, 2025, the Angels escorted Nola Marie (Noll) (Burgess) Ogle to the House of our Lord. Nola was born October 13, 1928 on the farm near Lyndon, Kansas. She was a devoted mother, lover of cattle (both dairy and beef) and seasoned traveler.
Nola M. Ogle will be remembered for her loving nature, hard work, and the joy she brought into the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit will remain a guiding light for her family, reminding them of the love that binds them together.
Nola was preceded in death by her parents Peter W. Noll (1964) and Opal A. (Ferris) Noll (1968); brothers August (1985), Eugene (2007), William (1998), and Walter (2025); husbands Merle A. Burgess (1981) and John Ogle (1990).
She is survived by children William R. Burgess (Marcia McGarry) of Greenville, North Carolina, Katherine A. Reynolds (Robert) of Olathe, Kansas, Walter W. Burgess (Coleen) of Baldwin, Kansas, Merlene Ruckert of Overland Park, Kansas, and Nola Burgess of Ottawa, Kansas; grandsons Steven Burgess of Iola, Kansas, David Burgess of Midland, Michigan, Brian M. Burgess of Minnesott Beach, North Carolina, Brett Reynolds of Gardner, Kansas, Mark Reynolds of Ottawa, Kansas, Scott Reynolds of Ottawa, Kansas, Heath Burgess of Wellsville, Kansas, Chad Peed of Baldwin City, Kansas, Jason Peed of Overland Park, Kansas, and Michael Ruckert of Manhattan, Kansas; granddaughters Megan M. (Burgess) Stein of Richmond Hill, Georgia, Lindsey (Burgess) Longpine of Gardner, Kansas, Jennifer (Peed) Hill of Topeka, Kansas, and Karen (Ruckert) Kassakhian of Sierra Madre, California; and seventeen great grandchildren.
Services will be held 10am, Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Ottawa, Kansas. Family will greet friends from 9:00-10:00am prior to services.
Interment Oak Hill Cemetery, Quenemo, Kansas.
