Billy J. Adams, Sr., 76, of Ottawa, passed peacefully on March 6, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. Billy was a lifelong Ottawa resident preceded in death by his parents William F. “Bill” and Margie (Scott) Adams as well as a younger sister Brenda Kaye Adams and brother-in-law Neil Snook and a great niece.
Billy is survived by his children Angie (Adams) Spears, his “little girl”, and Billy Joe Adams, Jr., both of Ottawa; sisters Debbie Snook, Marilyn Adams Reed, and Pat; brother Max D. Adams, four grandchildren; six great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family will greet friends 6-8pm, Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Eagles in Ottawa, Kansas for a celebration of life.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Prairie Paws Animal Shelter in honor of Maggie Mae, his buddy, 3173 K-68 Hwy., Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
Billy said he had the perfect childhood growing up in Ottawa. The girls, his sisters, say he was a big brother to all, a fierce protector. He adored his parents, loved the Chiefs, his many dogs, Harley rides, and his close friends and family. Oh, will he be missed.
