Ms. Nola Grace Overstreet, 85, of Buckatunna, MS passed from this life Sunday, April 9, 2023 at Washington County Nursing Home in Chatom, AL. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Thursday, September 9, 1937 to the late Grover and Nola Mae Hollingshead. She was a member of Red Creek Church of God. She retired from the La Porte Public School System in food services. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS for 20 years. Ms. Overstreet is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Arnold Overstreet; parents, Grover and Nola Mae Hollingshead; three brothers, Trutt Hollingshead, Carlis "C. C." Hollingshead, Jefferson Hollingshead; six sisters, Ena Taylor, Lena Smith, Ruth Williams, Edith Taylor, Fannie Taylor, Priscilla Hollingshead; great grandson, Lawson Brooks Lee. She is survived by her two sons, Cecil Craig Overstreet (Patrick Lyn) of Arlington, MA, Grover Scott Overstreet of Mobile, AL; special and devoted friend, Curly West; brother, R. P. Hollingshead (Vera), both of Waynesboro, MS; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service for Ms. Overstreet will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Zion Rest Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS with Rev. Steve Watts and Rev. Ken Beasley officiating. Interment will be in Zion Rest Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pink Lady Scholarship Fund at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS.
