Nora "Angel" Leeta Thornhill, 62, of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 18th, 2024, at Lawnwood Hospital in St. Lucie County. Born on Christmas Day, 1961, in Arcadia, Florida, Nora brought joy to all who knew her with her warm spirit.
Throughout her life, Nora embraced many passions. She found happiness in writing, swimming, and participating in her bowling league. She was a dedicated churchgoer and loved to dance, collect Barbies, and browse bridal magazines. She often conducted her own wedding ceremonies with her beloved dolls. One of her most cherished dreams was to become a bride, symbolizing her love for celebrating life’s beautiful moments.
Nora attended a special training school in Fort Myers and proudly participated in the Special Olympics, representing the Oleander Church of God. A hard worker, she found great joy in helping with school lunches at St. Andrews in Fort Pierce, where her bright and caring personality shone. Nora also enjoyed working at Pizza Hut, connecting with many through her love and kindness.
Known for her ability to love unconditionally, Nora left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She is survived by her loving mother, Patty Thornhill, of Fort Pierce, Florida. She is predeceased by her father, George Thornhill, her cherished grandparents, Hasco and Elua Brummett, and Mr. and Mrs. Newell Thornhill.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 21st, 2024, at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Chapel in Fort Pierce, Florida. All who knew and loved Nora are invited to celebrate her life and the joy she brought to those around her.
