Nora E. Cope, 64, of Lima, Ohio, passed away on August 16, 2025, at her residence.
Nora was born on September 25, 1960, in Lima, OH, to Donald Don and Maime (Hadding) Murphy, both of whom preceded her in death. On February 24, 1978, she married Rex Cope, who also preceded her in death on December 15, 2015.
Nora attended Lima Senior High School and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at various nursing homes. She also worked as a Home Health Aide. Known for her strong work ethic and determination, Nora took great pride in providing for her family. Above all, she cherished her daughter and adored spending time with her grandchildren. She was incredibly proud of each of them. Nora was also a devoted pet lover, especially fond of her dog, Nala.
Nora is survived by her daughter, Beth (Doug Stumbaugh) Nichols of Lima, OH; her grandchildren, Billy (Amantha Garpiel) Nichols, Jr. of Piqua, OH, Kyree Stumbaugh of Lima, OH, and Alycen Stumbaugh of Lima, OH; her siblings, Ellen Medley of Lima, OH, David (Janice) Murphy of Columbus Grove, OH; as well as her sister-in-law, Cherie Murphy.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael Mike Murphy and infant Jack.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Deb's Dogs, 1560 Wonderlick Road, Lima, Ohio 45805.
