Nora Jean Land

Nora Jean Land age 96 of Pottsville, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born October 17, 1929 in Pottsville, Arkansas to the late Edgar Apple and Dulcie Hoppis Apple. Nora was a member of the Pottsville United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnnie Land; daughter, Margaret Austin; sons-in-law, David Austin, Kelley Austin, Jerry Allen; siblings, Ray Apple, Faye Demmitt, twin brother, Ora Apple, Juanita Jackson, C.W. Apple and Virgle Apple.

Survivors include her two children, Carol Allen, Judy Austin; five grandchildren, Cheryl Allen (Beth Costa), Tanya Schroeder (Kim), James Parker (Polly), Jonathon Parker, Joshua Austin; eleven great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren and one on the way and many nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 16, 2026, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the Pottsville United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00P.M. at the church. Burial will be private in Pisgah Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kim Schroeder, James Parker, Jonathon Parker, Joshua Austin and Aidryan Schroeder.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Pottsville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 96, Pottsville, Arkansas 72858.
