Nora C. O'Malley, Ph.D, age 95, devoted daughter of the late Patrick and Honora (nee Barrett) O'Malley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary O'Leary and Kay McCluskey and her brothers Bob, Marty and Joe O'Malley. Nora is survived by her sister-in-law Phyllis O'Malley. Loving aunt, grandaunt and friend to many. "Sis", who spent over fifty years in dedicated leadership roles in the health care field, was known for her good nature, quiet wisdom, generous spirit, gentle grace and lifelong devotion to her family and friends. She fondly will be remembered by all who knew her. Nora began her professional career as a registered nurse. Subsequently, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree, Magna Cum Laude, as well as being inducted into the National Scholastic Honor Society "Delta Epsilon Sigma". She obtained MBA and Ph.D. degrees. She was elected a Life Fellow in the American College of Health Care Administration. In lieu of flowers, donations to Misericordia, 6300 N. Ridge Ave., Chicago, IL 60660, The Company of Mary Sisters Retirement Fund, 2800 W. 95th St., Evergreen Park, IL 60805 or to the charity of one's choice, would be appreciated. Visitation Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 4-8pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 1104 Waukegan Road, Glenview, IL 60025. (One block north of Glenview Rd. next to Heinen's grocery store. Parking is in the rear of the building with additional parking available at Heinen's). Family and friends will meet Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 1775 Grove St., Glenview for Mass at 11:30am. Interment will be private.
