Nora Jean Sumner, 86, of Oak Hill, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at CAMC Plateau Medical Center.
Born October 23, 1939 at Anderson, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Charles Otis and Grace Elaine (Brown) Walls.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Donald Sumner; two sons, Chris and Ricky Goodwin; and three brothers, William, Carol, and Douglas Walls.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving daughter, Nancy Tyrett (Paul); seven grandchildren, Paige Borsman, Paul Tygrett, Carmen Malicoate, Ashley Warrick, Loren Tygrett, Angel Boehning, and Chris Goodwin, Jr.; and sixteen great grandchildren.
In keeping with Nora's wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no service at this time.
