Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services - KewauneeNorbert N. Beining, 80, Kewaunee, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Sunday, March 29, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. He was born on April 16, 1945, to the late Gerald and Florance (Neinhaus) Beining. Norbert married Mary Pardowsky on October 12, 1991, at Holy Rosary Church, Kewaunee.
Norbert proudly served his country as a Military Police officer in the United States Army from August 1964 to June 1967, during the Vietnam era. A lifelong patriot, he continued his dedication to fellow veterans as a proud member of the Kewaunee American Legion Post 29. He was a member of the Catholic Financial Life Organization.
Having grown up on a farm, Norbert carried his love of the land throughout his life. He found great joy in gardening, nurturing vegetables, pumpkins, and a beautiful collection of fruit trees that included plums, pears, apples, and peaches. He cherished being outdoors and took pleasure in all it offered: mowing the lawn, camping, hunting, and fishing. One of his favorite places was his pond, where he loved spending time with his nephews as they fished together and he watched them swim. Norbert also raised rabbits and pheasants, finding fulfillment in caring for his animals. When he wasn't tending to his garden or enjoying the outdoors, he liked to relax with a little excitement, making trips to North Star Casino for a bit of fun and friendly gambling. Norbert also volunteered at Paul's Pantry.
Norbert is survived by his wife Mary; brothers Gene (Avis) Beining, David (Kim) Beining; sisters Bernice (Bill) Schuh, Jacky (Gary) Clark; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Cathy (fiancé Brian Polzar) Wautelet, Jim (Paula) Pardowsky, Roger Olszewski; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Cathy (Dan) Uecker; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Mike (Mary Ann) Pardowsky, Jeanne Olszewski, Sister Michaeleen Pardowsky, Glady (Roger) VanRemortel; nieces and nephews; and his loving companion dog, Luci.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. at Saint Joseph Church, Pilsen. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Dennis Drury officiating. Burial to take place in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Stangelville.
