Noreen A. Loeber

Noreen A. (McGowan) Loeber, 84, of Cranston, RI, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Robert A. Loeber, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Noreen was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Griffin) McGowan. Her family moved to Rhode Island when she was sixteen. Noreen earned her bachelor's degree from Rhode Island College and briefly worked as a school teacher in North Providence. She went on to work at Filene's Department Store for 25 years where she perfected the art of shopping. Besides her family, Noreen took great pride in her neighborhood in Edgewood where she lived for 57 years with many life-long friends who all took great care of her.
In addition to her devoted husband Bob, she is survived by her children, Bob Loeber Jr. and his wife Jen, Jill Loeber and her partner Chris Bove, Kate Butler and her husband Alex; her grandchildren, Jake and Maddie Cornell, Joey and Maggie Loeber, and Avery and AJ Butler; step-grandchildren, Anna, Noah and Tatum Prokop, as well as her sisters, Peg Griffin and Eileen Aman and her Brother-in-Law Tom Aman. She was predeceased by her brother Thomas McGowan, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to join her Visitation in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick, RI, on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 12:00-2:00pm, followed by a Chapel Service at 2:00pm.
