Norine Fritz, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, of Essexville, Michigan passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Monday, August 25th, 2025, at the age of 81.

She was born on March 18, 1944 to late Marvin and Betty (Williams) Walraven in Bay City, MI, Norine graduated high school and begin working at Bay County Medical Care Facility until she married Edward A. Fritz on July 23rd,1966. Norine was lucky enough to stay at home and raise 2 wonderful daughters and enjoy life. Later in life, she resumed helping others in need and found it fulfilling.

Norine enjoyed cooking, canning tomatoes, visiting the casino whenever she got the chance, running her big yard sales and traveling with her husband. She created found memories for her family with the yearly gatherings for every holiday and was known for her massive dishes of food. You never left grandma’s house hungry. Norine truly loved her family and watching the great grandkids play outside and hear about school. She made you feel at home. She also loved collecting Coca Cola memorabilia. She really loved to shop and catch a great deal whenever one caught her eye, especially at a yard sale or estate sale. She also enjoyed spending time with her cousin (Noreen) even when they were doing their cleaning jobs and the 7:00 p.m. night calls. She was fun to be around and loved her family to the fullest! She will be greatly missed by all.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Laura Choyce, seven grandchildren Adam McIntire (Justin Sharon) Benjamin McIntire (Kayla Smith) Jessica McIntire (Tony Pedan) TJ Fritz (Becky Fritz) Lawrence Choyce (Mariah Choyce) Josh Choyce, Madison. ten great grandchildren Kylie, Addison, Ian, Rylie, Asher, Benny, Molly, Lexi, Ella, Maisy. great grand doggie Stanley. Very loving cousins Carol and Noreen and special friends Sue and Karla and many other family and friends.

Norine was preceded in death by her husband Edward Fritz, daughter Suzanne McIntire, parents Marvin and Betty Walraven, sisters Joann Walraven, Lois Draper and Kathy Walraven.

Special thanks to the excellent care provided by Jennifer and Christina from Advisa care. She talked very highly of you both and loved you like family.

At Norine request cremation has taken place and a family and friends gathering will take place at a later date.
