Norma Jean Ayala

Norma J. Ayala, 73, of Central Point Oregon passed away May 16, 2024 in Medford, Oregon. She was born March 22, 1951 in Oceanside, California to Julia DeArcos and Donald Roy Winona. Norma has lived much of her life in Oregon, but had also lived several years in Northern California in her 30s and about 5 years later in life in upstate New York.
Norma has had several vocations throughout her life including some telemarketing, customer service mainly in the flower industry or Harry and David's seasonal work, waitressing and even hard labor in orchards picking fruit by hand. Her favorite work was in her late 20s putting together electronic circuit boards for hospital equipment. She enjoyed her retirement years in living with one of her daughters, Cynthia Walker for the past 17 years of her life where she had many good and fun times making countless cherished memories with her and all her family & friends. She enjoyed her life of family gatherings, traveling abroad, enjoying puzzles & games, movie shows & dining out. Her favorite times were spent with family at outings at lakes, rivers, or ocean and especially getting to see several other countries with her daughters Cynthia Walker and/or Diana Ayala. Her Christianity was very important to her and she dearly loved our Savior Jesus & having her fellowships in conversation with family about scripture and our Precious Lord. She was most devoted to her family and loved her children and her brothers most dearly. She especially loved to reminisce about all our fun times shared together. Her favorite places on Earth were near water and being in the mountains. And quite importantly, she could never get enough of the color green, her utmost favorite color.
Survivors include 2 of her 4 children; Cynthia Walker of Central Point, OR & Diana Ayala of Ravensdale, WA; four brothers Chris DeBerry of Redmond, OR, Steve DeBerry of Eagle Point, OR, John DeBerry of Central Point, OR, and Jay DeBerry of Shady Cove, OR and step-sister Hazel Faulkner of CA; 2 grandsons Tayven Ayala & Liam Ayala of Albany OR.
She was preceded by her parents, one son Roberto Ayala of Medford, OR one daughter Lisa Ayala of Medford, OR; and one brother Larry Winona of Eagle Point, OR
