Norma I. Barkley

Norma Irene (Kline) Barkley, 85, of Jeannette, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville. She was born on Nov. 19, 1940, in Ruffsdale, a daughter of the late Paul and Anna (Gressly) Kline. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gilbert Barkley, and a sister, Miriam (Walter) Martin. While in high school, she worked for her dad at a woodworking shop, then went on to become a registered nurse. She really enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the United States and Canada. Norma is survived by her husband of 68 years, Jim Barkley; four children, James Paul Barkley (Lisa), Debbie Elaine Nowaski (Bill), Timothy Dean Barkley (Karen), and Glenn Todd Barkley (Sherri); nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Evelyn Johnson (Harry); and several nieces. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Kingdom Missionary Church, 224 Gressly Road, Ruffsdale. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the church. Interment will follow at Gressly Family Cemetery, West Newton.
