Norma Faye Barricks

Norma Faye (Carroll) Barricks, 78, of New Castle passed away peacefully at home on January 20, 2025. She was born May 23, 1946 in Henry County to Louie and Emma Jean (Lawson) Carroll.

Norma was a 1965 graduate of New Castle High School. Norma retired from Henry County Hospital. She attended Smyrna Baptist Church in Spiceland. Norma loved the Lord and put her relationship with him first above all else. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, always put others before herself even if she went without.

She is survived by her children; 3 sons, Tommy Fannin, Jason (Jenny) Fannin and Justin Fannin; daughter, Felicia Schiadweiler; special daughter-in-law, Valerie Aly; grandchildren, Holly, T.J., Jesse (Holly) Blake, Clarissa, Bobby (Cheri) James, Brandon (Haley) Billy, Donna, Ryan and Cody; several great-grandchildren; sister, Connie (Danny) Gregory; several nieces, nephews and cousins

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands John Johnson and Bart Barricks; son, Bobby Fannin; daughter-in-law, Debbie Fannin; sisters, Anna McGaha and Joyce Carroll.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with David Burgess officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
