Ms. Camp was born on November 27, 1956 and passed away on Thursday evening, August 31, 2023 in a Mount Pleasant nursing facility while surrounded by her family. Susie got to experience so many things in life including traveling. One of her fondest memories was visiting Graceland, the home of Elvis, someone she loved so much. She had so much fun going to the Special Olympic events and especially bowling. Susie was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marijon Russell, Charlotte Talley; brothers, Carol Joe Camp, Larry Camp and James Hugh Camp. Those left to cherish her memories include her sister, Brenda Jones of Mount Pleasant, numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Sandy Camp and her loving extended family at Pleasant Living in Mount Pleasant. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to: Pleasant Living, 2003 Happy St., Mount Pleasant, Texas 75455.

Susie had a huge heart!!! She could always sense when I was stressed, and would call me over to her and give me the best hugs. One evening she was hurting, I went in her room, gave her medicine and sat with her for awhile, she hugged me put her hand on heart and then on mine, and pointed to the sky and did her sign for love. I am blessed to have know her and her family. Praying for you all.
