Chris Camp

Chris Camp, a loving family man and longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, passed away peacefully surrounded by those he loved. He lived a life marked by humility, hard work, and an unwavering faith in the Lord.

A graduate of Scottsboro High School, Class of 1988, Chris was actively involved in multiple sports during his high school years, where he learned the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance-qualities that stayed with him throughout his life. He was also a lifelong and passionate fan of the University of Alabama, faithfully cheering on the Crimson Tide and sharing that enthusiasm with family and friends.

Following graduation, he built a successful career in the insurance business, where he worked faithfully for nearly 2 decades. Known for his strong work ethic and integrity, he earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

Above all else, Chris loved his family and his Lord with all his heart. His faith was not only something he professed, but something he lived through kindness and quiet strength. He was a steady presence, a loyal friend, and a source of encouragement to many.

Chris will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of faith, love, and humility will continue to live on in the lives he touched.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February7, 2026 at 2:00 pm in Rainsville Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Elam officiating. Burial will follow in Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
