Norma Jeane Chastain

Norma Jeane Chastain was born March 23, 1938 in Phenix, Missouri to Ulie Edwards and Mable Haun Edwards. She went to her eternal home March 21, 2022, in Springfield, Missouri at age 83. She was united in marriage to Bobby Gene Chastain on October 2, 1955.
She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Charles and Mary Chastain of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Douglas and Kimberly Chastain of Springfield, Missouri, three treasured granddaughters Makenzie and Hannah Chastain and Sabrina Carles, one sister, Dora Lee Shafer, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 57 years, Bob, her parents, brother, Robert Edwards and one sister-in-law, Marge Chastain.
She was a member of James River Assembly.
She inherited her mother's love of gardening and loved working in her yard as long as she was able. She was very artistic and enjoyed working with her hands in a variety of creative activities.
She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
The Family wishes to thank her wonderful caregivers at Creekside Assisted Living Center for their care and kindness to her.
The Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2022 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 Friday before services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to Springfield Pregnancy Care Center or Convoy of Hope.
