Norma Cignarella, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the age of 92.
Born in Douglas, AZ, to Ernesto and Rosario Lopez, she lived in Douglas, AZ, until she met the love of her life, Richard Cignarella. They raised their family in West Orange, NJ, and eventually settled in West Palm Beach, FL.
Predeceased by her parents, siblings, and beloved husband, Richard, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, dancing and music. She is survived by her children: Joseph Cignarella and his wife, Debbie; Glenn Cignarella and his wife, Aida; Ernie Cignarella and his wife, Brenda; Maria Zecchino and her husband, Nick; and Norma Jean Zecchino and her husband, Joe. She is also survived by her treasured grandchildren: Vanessa, Billy, Richie, Joseph, Vinny, Kimberly, Marlee, Carly, Elena, Nicky, Joey, Ava, and Lana; and her precious great-grandchildren: Natalie, Nathan, Brendan, Emma, Diana, Lucianna, Levi, Hudson, Ashton, Carson, Dominic and Luca.
Funeral services will begin on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:15 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, East Hanover, N.J., with entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 30 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove, N.J. Memories and condolences may be shared at shookscedargrove.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Norma may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of America, alzfdn.org.
