Mrs. Norma A. Cote, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Morton Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul "Pete" Cote.
Norma was born in Taunton on April 13, 1943 to the late Andrew and Shirley Nichols. She was a lifelong resident of Taunton and a longtime Parishioner of the former Immaculate Conception Parish and currently St. Jude the Apostle Parish. Norma waitressed at the former Gondola Restaurant for over 35 years.
She enjoyed playing cards, reading, trips to the casinos, doing word searches, and loved traveling to Florida, but most of all Norma loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survived by her sons Brian Cote and wife Linda of Taunton and Robert Cote and wife Michelle also of Taunton, her daughter Paula Drew and husband Joseph of NH, sister Marie Fitzpatrick and husband Paul of Taunton. Grandchildren, Eric Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Kristen Cote, Evan Cote and Corey Cote, great- grandchildren Krystal Cook, Westley Cook, Emma Wilson and Bailey Cote.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 4:00-7:00pm at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton, MA. A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 249 Whittenton St. Taunton, MA at 10:00am, followed by a burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, 475 E. Britannia St. Taunton, MA.
