Norma Faye Obituary
In addition to her husband, Norma was preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Murphy, who passed on April 17, 2019. Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Schaedel and son, Thomas Faye; grandchildren Penny (Kasey), Tricia (Bobby), Dawn (Jason), and Darren; great-grandchildren Amara Bruno, Delaney Dunderdale, Arianna Bruno, Hailey Dunderdale, and Maddie Dunderdale; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Her numerous volunteer work includes the Children's Guardian Home, St. Elizabeth's Home, The Knights of Columbus #3660, The Clothes Closet at the New York Street Baptist Church, and was one of the bake sale ladies at the former St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
A special thank you to Monica Collins who brought Holy Communion to her each Thursday afternoon. Another special thank you to Becky Spurgeon, her hairdresser of 50+ years who styled her hair each Thursday at 12 Noon, and Rosie Butler, who mother volunteers with at IndyCaN!
Memorial contributions can be made to the Morgan County Humane Society as she and her cat Lucy loved dailey 3:00 p.m. naps.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 4-7 pm at Oakley-Hammond Funeral Home, 5342 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46219. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 5333 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46219. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
