Norma Jean Heffel (Reel), 84 of Battle Creek, MI passed away on September 27, 2023 at home. She was born on August 15, 1939 in Pikeville, Tennessee, the daughter of Acie Reel and Lola Martin.
In Norma's younger years she worked as a hotel maid and also at EPI, but most of her life she was a housewife and mother. She enjoyed Bingo, home network shopping, jewelry "shiny rings", hanging out at Speeds and Mr. Dons with her friends, Donna and Sandy drinking coffee and talking smack, and her daily ice cream. Norma's favorite things to watch included soap operas and WWE Wrestling. Above everything else however, she loved her daily visits from her family.
Norma is survived by her four children, Jimmy Marshall of California, David (Deborah) Snowberger, Roger Powers and Karen Sue Toress-Cordova all of Battle Creek, MI; three grandchildren, Mike (Stephanie) Esquivel, Carlos Esquivel, Crystal Powers; and five great grandchildren, KeAndrea Green, Miguel Esquivel, Andrea Yarbrogh, Xavier Green and Jaydon Brown. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Kenneth Powers and Ken Heffel; son, Larry Snowberger and both parents.
At this time cremation has taken place and a celebration of Norma's life will take place on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm at 624 East Sylvan Drive, Battle Creek, MI 49017 for friends and family.
