Norma Don Ivie "Punkin"
January 31, 1938 – July 28, 2025
Norma Don Ivie, lovingly known as "Punkin," passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025, at the age of 87 in Corsicana, Texas. She was born on January 31, 1938, in Levelland, Texas to Norman Edward Reid and Edith La Rue Spurgeon. She was preceded in death by both her mom, dad and siblings; Rex Warren Reid and William Henry "Billy Bo" Talkington, III.
Norma lived a long and full life - a strong, spirited woman who brought joy, laughter, and love to everyone lucky enough to know her. She is survived by her two daughters, Sharla Allen and Rebecca Richardson, and favorite person, her grandson, Shae Harp, along with beloved extended family and friends.
She had a deep love for college football, especially her beloved Texas A&M Aggies, WHOOP! Her days were filled with the companionship of her sweet little dogs and cats, swigs of Dr Pepper, late-night scary movies, and a good sweet treat. Each of these simple joys reflected her vibrant personality and the comfort she brought to those around her.
Norma's strength, wit, and warmth leave behind a legacy that cannot be measured. As we say goodbye, we hold close the words, "How lucky we are to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A graveside service will be held August 1st at 9am in Rice Cemetery.
