Norma Jorde Obituary
Norma Jean (Pruka) Jorde, age 84, of Rushford, MN, died Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Valley View Health Care in Houston, MN.
Norma was born November 10, 1939, in Winona, MN, the daughter of Frank and Clara (Wenzel) Pruka. She was united in marriage to Harley Jorde in 1955 at St. John’s in Hart, MN. She was a homemaker, and also worked for Rush Products for several years, and managed the Peterson American Legion for 17 years. She enjoyed trips to the casino, and shopping at craft boutiques with her daughters. She was a snappy dresser, and she never had a hair out of place. Norma enjoyed watching and feeding the birds, and did her best to keep the squirrels away. She was proud of her children, and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters: Dawn Jorde, and Shelly Jorde; grandchildren: Amy (Andy), Gregg (Nikki), Marissa and Miranda; great-grandchildren: Alivia, Amelia, Harlan, and Dolly; siblings: Walter Pruka, Ruth Cordes, and Helen (Myron) Bunke.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harley; son, Harlan; and siblings: George (Irene) Pruka, and Agnes (Fritz) Oldendorf; sister-in-law, Louise Pruka, and brother-in-law, Hub Cordes.
