Norma Pajk Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Don Catchen & Son Funeral Home - Elsmere on Jun. 19, 2025.
With deep sorrow and unwavering faith, we announce the unexpected passing of Norma
(DeMeza) Pajk on June 16, 2025. A beloved wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, and
cherished sister, Norma lived a life guided by grace, kindness, and an unshakable trust in God.
Born on March 21, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio, Norma was the heart of her family and the steady
light that guided them. She is survived by her beloved husband, Anthony E. Pajk, and together
they shared a life of deep love and partnership for nearly 52 years. Norma was a devoted
mother to Angela (Jeff) Head, Shawn, Todd (Sharon), and Tony (Amy). She was also a proud and
adoring grandmother to nine grandchildren and four (soon to be five) great-grandchildren, each
of whom brought her immeasurable happiness. She found immense joy and purpose in her
family, and her love for them knew no bounds.
Norma lived a life full of beauty, curiosity, and compassion. She had a deep love for the simple
wonders of the world and for God's gifts - from birdwatching and admiring sunsets to moon
gazing and capturing quiet, sacred moments through her photography. Her sense of adventure
led her to travel far and wide, always eager to explore new places, try new dishes, marvel at
nature's majesty, and "adopt" a stuffed animal companion from each road trip along the way.
A lifelong reader, Norma found joy and meaning in stories and the written word. Her
appreciation for wildlife and her tireless efforts in dog rescue reflected her generous and
nurturing heart. She had a special way with God's creatures - dogs, in particular, always
seemed drawn to her. Her family often joked that she was a dog whisperer, as animals were
calm in her presence and often approached her without hesitation, drawn to her gentle spirit
and the quiet kindness she carried everywhere. She shared a deep and unconditional love for
her dogs, who were not just pets, but treasured members of her family and faithful companions
in every season of life.
Norma faced life's challenges with strength, grace, and unshakable faith. From a very young age,
whether the road was smooth, uncertain, or deemed impossible to most, she met every
obstacle with courage and grit. Her resilience was a quiet testament to the power of hope,
prayer, and perseverance.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents, George and Marian DeMeza, her brothers, George
and Kenneth, sisters-in-law, Mary Jo, Marsha, and Veronica. She is survived by her brothers,
Alvin (Sandy), Gerry, Ron, Russ (Joetta) and sister Roxan; her nieces and nephews; and all those
who were blessed to know and love her.
She has returned to her heavenly home, where she is now held in the loving arms of our Lord.
Norma will be forever remembered for her strength, her devotion, and the abiding love she
gave so freely.
A private viewing will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 6:30-8 at Don Catchen Family

place on Saturday, June 21, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Church--1680 Dixie Hwy, Fort Wright, KY.
