Norma Jean (Ball) Perrier, 96, of Barnsdall, OK, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2024. Born on January 10, 1928, in Osage County, she was the beloved daughter of Otis and Kittie Cleo Crain Ball. Norma's early education began in Phillipsburg, and she later moved with her family to Ochelata, where she completed grade school and began her high school journey. In her sophomore year, the family relocated to Shidler, Oklahoma, where she proudly was a member of the Shidler High School Class of 1946.
Following high school, Norma embarked on her professional journey at SW Bell Telephone Company in
Bartlesville, OK, where she worked for a year and a half. On November 10, 1947, she married the love of her life, Robert Lee Perrier, Jr., in Independence, Kansas. The couple established their first home in Odessa, Texas, where Robert worked for Phillips Oil Company until his transfer to Shidler, OK, in 1951. In 1957, they returned to the Perrier Ranch, located north of Barnsdall, where they would build a life filled with love and cherished memories.
Norma was a dedicated member of the First Methodist Church of Barnsdall and actively participated in various community organizations, including the American Legion Auxiliary, B-Square Home Extension, and the VFW. She managed the Barnsdall Bloodmobile kitchen and opened and operated the Legion Mall at Post 227 from 1991 to 2006. Additionally, she served as an Election Board Clerk for Barnsdall/Osage County, demonstrating her commitment to her community and civic duty.
Norma was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert Lee Perrier Jr.; her son, Richard Lee (Rick) Perrier; her parents, Otis and Kittie Ball; and her siblings: Roy Ball of Kaw City, OK; Raymond Ball of Houston, TX; Bernard Lee (Babe) Ball of Austin, TX; Joe Allen Ball of Blackwell, OK; John Robie Ball of Ponca City, OK; and Dorothy Rose Carter of Tulsa, OK.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Pamela Jean Perrier-Infield and her husband Darrell of Pawhuska, OK; her son, James Otis Perrier and his wife Cathy of
Bartlesville, OK; her brother, Otis Lee (Butch) Ball of Ponca City, OK; and her sister, Dolores Mae (Punk) Swain of Ponca City, OK. Norma's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Cody Cooper and his wife Devon of Broken Arrow, OK; Holli Perrier-Wade and her husband Chad of Barnsdall, OK; Bart Perrier and his wife Julia of Barnsdall, OK; Keven Perrier and his wife Shannon of
Bartlesville, OK; April Cooper of Tulsa, OK; Kalon Perrier of Tulsa, OK, Brandi Bires and husband Dan of Nowata,OK, Emily Crouch and husband Phil of
Bartlesville, OK, and Carri Hicks and husband Spencer ok Oklahoma City, OK. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Kenlee Walker, Carson Cooper, Cash Perrier, Presley Perrier, Hayden Renfrow, Hunter Perrier, Jaycie Perrier, Bryce Bires, Addison Bires, Austyn Arnett, Adalyn Crouch, Sawyer Hicks, Holli Hicks, and Camilla Hicks, with one great-great-grandson on the way.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons: Keven Perrier, Bart Perrier, Cody Cooper, Kalon Perrier, Cash Perrier, Hayden Renfrow, Hunter Perrier, and Carson Cooper.
Norma Jean Perrier will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her dedication to her community, and her kind spirit. She leaves behind a rich legacy of love and service that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A visitation will be held at Stumpff Funeral Home Bartlesville, on Tuesday January 14, 2025, from 9:00AM-5:00PM. The funeral service will be held at St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Bartlesville, on Wednesday January 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Ramona City Cemetery.
